This pendant is part of the iron meteorite Muonionalusta, classified as fine octahedrite. It impacted northern Scandinavia about one million years BCE. It was discovered in Sweden in 1906. It is considered the oldest known meteorite, was part of a planetoid and lasted through 4 ice ages. Analysis shows that it contains about 8.4% nickel and trace amounts of many rare elements.

The pendant itself is 38.5 x 17.5 x 3.5mm (1.51 x 0.69 x 0.13 inches) big. Etching brought out the Widmanstätten pattern. Safely held by a 14k yellow gold bail.
