This beautifully struck coin was minted 133-27 BC in the Greek city of Pergamon/ Mysia (Asian part of modern Turkey) .This coin is about 2100 years old, and lasted throughout the milennia. Made from a copper or bronze alloy. The dark patina has been partially lifted for better visibility of the depictions. Very fine condition.

The obverse shows Athena, wearing a helmet decorated with a star. On the reverse Athena's owl is depicted standing on a palm branch with wings spread. 16.5mm coin diameter.

The coin is safely held by a minimalist 4-prong setting, made from sterling silver with a polished surface. The bail will accommodate chains up to 3.5mm in diameter.
