This coin was minted between 103-76 B.C. under king Alexander Jannaeus, one of the last Jewish kings before the Roman annexation of Judaea. Made from an ancient bronze alloy, with amazing details even after 2000 years. Coin diameter is 15mm, very fine VF condition on the obverse, depicting an 8-ray star. The reverse is blank (unknown if worn away or mint mistake). The original dark grey-green patina has built up over the centuries. Safely held by a four prong setting, made from sterling silver. The bail will accommodate chains up to 4mm in diameter.
