This coin was minted 276-282 A.D. under Emperor Probus and is thus an ancient 1800 years old.
The reverse shows an eagle with wings spread , holding a wreath in its beak.
The obverse depicts the laureate draped bust of Emperor Probus. Before becoming Roman Emperor in 276 Probus was one of the highest regarded and most decorated lieutenants of Emperor Aurelian, reconquering Egypt in 273 A.D.

A tetradrachm, made from an ancient Bronze alloy, partially highlighted for better contrast and visibility of the depiction, about 18mm in diameter and weighing 8.2 grams.

Set in a rustic silver setting, approx 29mm (1.14 inches) in diameter with a chunky character and substantial weight. All sterling silver, hallmarked with .925.
