This coin was minted between 1272-1307 under King Edward I of England (also known as Edward Longshanks and Hammer of the Scots), London mint. The obverse depicts the crowned bust of Edward I centered. Surrounded by + ЄDW R’ ANGL’ DNS HYB (Edward King of England Lord of Ireland).
The Reverse depicts a Long cross quartered with pellet trefoils. Surrounded by the legend CIVI TAS LON DON (City of London).
Silver Penny denomination.

The coin itself is made from silver, 19 mm in diameter. Very fine coin condition with crisp, detailed depictions. Original patina.

The coin is safely held by a four prong setting, made from sterling silver with a polished surface. Bail inside diameter is 3.5 mm.
