This coin was minted between 1351-1361 under King Edward III of England in London, House of Plantagenet, Fourth coinage, pre-treaty period.
The obverse depicts Crowned facing bust of King Edward III in tressure of arches with fleurs on cusps, legend around + EDWARD ° D ° G ° REX ° AIIGL’ ° 7 ° FRANC ° D HУB (Edward by the Grace of God King of England and France Lord of Ireland).
The Reverse depicts a Long cross with trefoils in angles, legend around in two circles + POSVI ° DEVM ° A DIVTOR EM ° MEV CIVI TAS LOII DOII (I have made God my helper City of London).
It's value was that of a Groat.
The coin is made from silver, 26mm in diameter. Very fine coin condition.
