This coin was minted under Prince William of Villehardouin (Guillaume I de Villehardouin), between 1245-1278. Minted in Glarentza/ Frankish Principality of Achaea (Frankish Greece).
The obverse depicts the Knights Templar cross. The reverse shows a Castle tournois, surmounted by cross and surrounded by "DECLARENTIA". Made from an ancient silver alloy, 18.5 x 17.5 mm in diameter, 0.87g weight and with the original patina that built up over the centuries. Very fine VF condition.
