This coin was minted under Guillaume II de Villehardouin (1246-1278). Minted in Glarentza/ Frankish Principality of Achaea (Frankish Greece). The obverse depicts Cross pattée. The reverse shows a Castle tournois, surmounted by cross and surrounded by "DCLARENTIA". Made from an ancient silver alloy, 18.3 mm in diameter, 0.75g weight and with the original patina that built up over the centuries. Very fine VF condition. Set in polished sterling silver. Bail inside diameter is 3.8 mm.
