This particular coin is rare for it's exceptional large size and excellent condition. Minted between 40-51 A.D. in Parthia (present-day Iran). Made from silver, measuring 27x25mm (1.06 x 0.98 inches). The obverse depicts diademed bust of Gotarzes II, ruler of the Parthian Empire 40-51A.D. The reverse depicts the King seated, receiving palm from Tyche standing. This coin is an AR Tetradrachm, weighing 14.1 grams.
The coin is safely held by a four prong setting, made from sterling silver, with a matte surface.
