The drop shaped gemstone is a genuine Australian opal, mined in the opal fields of Queensland. It has beautiful blue and green color play (best seen in sunlight but also visible indoors). Visible is also some of the matrix areas, giving this opal an incredible depth. The gemstone measures about 12x9mm, and is safely set in a closed bezel setting, made from solid 14k gold.
The silver ring band is 4.5mm wide, and a sturdy 1.6mm thick. The structure was hand carved with a unique, rustic pattern.. The opal's setting is made from solid 14k yellow gold. Hallmarked with .925 and 14k.
