This coin was minted under Barnabé Visconti, Lord of Milan/ Italy between 1354-1385. Minted from an ancient silver alloy, 24mm in diameter, weighing 2.54 grams. Very fine condition. AR Pegion denomination.
The reverse depicts the Serpent of Milan (biscione) devouring a child. Surrounded by ✠DOMIN MEDIOLI.
The obverse depicts a helmet with a dragon crest holding a child in it's mouth. Surrounded by ✠DOMIN BNABOS.

The image of the Serpent of Milan is used by Milan based auto manufacturer Alfa Romeo, and football club Inter Milan, among others.

Set in a handmade 18k yellow gold setting with a polished surface. The bail will accommodate chains up to 4mm in diameter.
