Both the sterling silver and the gold have been recycled and reclaimed from non-mined sources.

The ring band is made from thick sterling silver, about 4mm wide and black oxidized. It's center is twisted, symbolizing infinity or the Moebius band. Yellow gold is molten onto the center, giving the ring a cool two tone look.
The molten structure of the silver will turn out slightly different on each and every ring, making it uniquely yours.
