This rare gemstone is a genuine Moldavite, found in the Czech Republic. It has a gorgeous olive green color, translucent body and a naturally raw surface with natural occurring pitting. Unusual long and skinny shape. Safely held by a sterling silver setting. Bail opening is 5mm.
Moldavites were formed about 15 Million years ago, when a meteorite struck Europe. Splatters of material that was melted by the impact cooled while being actually airborne, and most fell in Bohemia/ Czech Republic. It's chemical composition is similar to that of other types of glass.
