This beautiful gemstone is a rare covellite - all natural, untreated and earth-mined from Montana/ US. Patterned by swirls of gold, contrasting with the dark midnight blue metallic color. In the sun the midnight royal blue color turns into a very dark blue (almost black) with elusive purple hues. Hand cut into a thick & chunky drop shape, measuring 26 x 20mm, weighing 57.36 carats.
Closed bezel setting with a pierced back. Bail opening is 4.5mm. Hallmarked with 925.
