This coin was minted between 103-76 B.C. under king Alexander Jannaeus, one of the last Jewish kings before the Roman annexation of Judaea. Made from an ancient bronze alloy, with amazing details even after 2000 years. The coin depicts an 8-ray star. The other side shows an anchor within a circle, the symbol of heaven. Coin diameter is 16mm, very fine VF condition. Safely held by a four prong setting, made from sterling silver. The bail will accommodate chains up to 4.5mm in diameter.
