This gemstone is a genuine fire opal from Mexico with a translucent blood red color. Cut into a clean pear shape the gemstone is safely set in a closed bezel setting, made from solid 14k yellow gold. The gem has a few matrix stone areas as well as rutile inclusions. It measures approx. 17.5 x 13mm, weighing 7.5 carats.
The setting is backed with sterling silver. Hallmarked with .925 and 14k. Sterling silver bail with an opening of 4mm. The bright silver can be darkened upon request.
