This coin was struck from silver around 1603 in a Spanish colony in South America, Philip III period. Overall Fine to Very Fine condition. The obverse shows crowned coat of arms, with escutcheon of Portugal. The reverse depicts the cross with castles and lions in angles in octolobe.
2 Reales denomination, measuring 21 mm in diameter and weighing 3.08 grams. Clipped coin.
Safely held by a 4-prong sterling silver setting. Bail opening is 4 mm. Polished surface finish.
