This gemstone is a genuine, all natural fire opal from Mexico. Untreated, earth-mined and carved into an organic shape with a polished surface. It is 16.7 x 9.8 mm big and weighs 5.23 carats. Beautiful saturated orange color, with blue, green and purple play of color (best seen in direct sunlight). Set in a 4-prong setting.
The opal is nestled in a watercast base, created by watercasting molten silver directly into water. Three solid 14k granules are sitting above the gemstone. Hidden bail on the back, which accommodates chains up to 3.8mm in diameter.
